ABOUT Fight For The Forgotten
Africa's most oppressed people deserve a fighting chance.
My career was to fight against people, but my calling was to fight for people. As a fighter we are trained to generate the most impact possible. Then, I discovered how to generate impact for those who need it most, in the most unlikely of ways. I now help others learn to unleash impact through their work, for their community, and in this world.
THE VISION
Overcoming oppression with overwhelming opportunity. Founded by former UFC and MMA fighter Justin “The Big Pygmy” Wren, Fight for the Forgotten is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to defending the weak, loving the unloved, and empowering the voiceless around the world. We do this by walking alongside displaced indigenous peoples groups in west Africa to help ensure their health and human rights.
Justin Wren has dedicated his life to making a positive impact. Inspired by a life-changing trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Justin founded Fight for the Forgotten to focus on providing clean water, education, sustainable development and transformational empowerment to the Batwa, Efe, and Mbuti Pygmy communities in Africa. He advocates for indigenous rights and is a powerful voice for marginalized communities
Justin speaks of how personal accountability, resilience in the face of adversity, and profound gratitude for each new day can ignite a fire in all of us to create meaningful change in our work, in our lives, and in our world.
Audiences travel with Justin to the remote Congo Basin Rain Forest for a rare insider’s view of the Mbuti Pygmy people, where they laugh, cry, and stand up and cheer as they bear witness to an improbable yet profoundly inspiring tale of redemption – a testament to the enduring power of second chances.
